The 7 Hermetic Laws: The Law of Correspondence & Vibration

Hello and welcome to part two of this article-series!

Now with my last post on the Law of Mentalism, lets pick up on to the second law, the Law of Correspondence

This law states, “as above; so below; as within; so without.” The meaning is simple, your outer world(your reality) is a complete reflection of what you believe to be true(on the “inside”)

(as above so below)

Similarly like the first Hermetic Law, the Law of Mentalism; the Law of Correspondence works within the confines of a person’s self talk and habits

Whereas, the Law of Mentalism makes whatever you believe to be true in your universe(reality), the Law of Correspondence tells you that if you want to change your reality it must start within

Lets look at a hypothetical situation:

A man around the age of 35 looks at himself in the mirror and says to himself, “I need to get in shape! My body has gained a little weight and I’m not happy with it. But I’m not too sure if I can stay motivated to do it. Matter of fact, forget it, I’ll always be like this.”

In this situation this man has thought to himself he’s not happy with the way his body is, and is looking to change it. Unfortunately he has already given up and decided to stay where he knows he doesn’t want to be.

Now this story isn’t to shame anyone’s body, because as long as you love yourself the way you are that’s all that matters. But for our hypothetical middle aged man, you can tell he’s not happy and wants change, but he doesn’t want to change his self talk and habits

A person who truly wants to change his life must look within their selves and discover any limiting belief or habits that prevents that change from occurring.

To make it simple, change the way you think, and you will become whatever it is you want to be. Of course make realistic changes, no one’s going to become a billionaire mogul overnight. But anything is possible if you put your mind to it!

The third Hermetic Law is the Law of Vibration. Its law states that everything moves, everything vibrates, and nothing is at rest

If you were to take a rock and examine its molecular structure, you’d find that it is indeed “vibrating”, or moving. On a metaphysical(spiritual) viewpoint of this law, the way to work with this is to imagine how something would feel if you were to have it right now; say like a million dollars ,or, a new job. It can be anything you want

To attract that same vibration of [insert what you want] into your life, imagine how happy you would be, how easy life would be, or even how proud your family would be, for it to be happening right now. Anything that gets you into the mindset of it already being there counts

I’ll let you in on a secret. There are two conscious minds that everyone has(there may be more but I’m keeping it simple), the conscious mind, and the subconscious mind

Your conscious mind is your everyday, awoke, thinking mind that goes to sleep at night. Your subconscious mind is what controls your bodily habits when you’re not aware, say like a routine that you do so often you forget you’ve done it.

The difference between these two is that the subconscious mind doesn’t sleep, it’s always functioning, and it can’t tell the difference between good and bad. Nor can it tell whatever you daydream about is actually happening to you, or, is a figment of your imagination

So, by the way the Universal Laws works, and how your subconscious mind works, just imagining and being in the moment of wherever your visualization takes you, is actually happening. Visualize it enough and it will actually affect your reality(universe)

Okay, so with my preferred structure of keeping things short and to the point, I will end part two here. As always, do your own research to get an even better perspective of these laws and leave your thoughts below

Thank you for reading!
