The 7 Chakras: Balancing the Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras

Picking up from my last post lets get right into it!

Solar Plexus Chakra
Solar Plexus Chakra

The third chakra is the Solar Plexus. Its statement is all about expressing your personal power into the world, characterized by your will

If you notice in the image above, it looks like the sun, which is symbolic of your ego/your everyday conscious self. (The moon would represent your subconscious mind)

A person with a healthy solar plexus chakra exhibits these characteristics:

  • control over your thoughts
  • control over emotional responses
  • setting healthy boundaries
  • and being at peace with themselves

A person with excessive energy will show:

  • controlling or overly competitive behavior
  • overeating and overindulgence
  • fatigue or laziness

As for a deficiency in the chakra:

  • insecurity
  • anxiety
  • fear
  • lack of confidence
  • unable to focus
  • and lack of organization

To balance this chakra meditating and visualizing the color yellow, or eating yellow colored foods like bananas can balance this chakra

The alternatives you can also use include aroma therapy, using yellow stones , doing yoga, etc. Your choice

Affirmations you can use:

  • I am worthy
  • I am confident
  • I release judgement of myself
  • I am motivated to get things done
  • I embody confidence and inner peace

Having this chakra balanced and healthy is important, considering, its main function is exerting your will in the world. If your willpower is weak, then you won’t ever have control over your life and the many situations that come with it, including keeping it in order

Heart Chakra
Heart Chakra

Okay, the fourth chakra on the list, and also one of the important ones, is the Heart Chakra. The main function of this chakra is to show compassion and love to not only others, but for yourself as well

People with balanced Heart chakras can show and receive love. Meaning they have compassion and love for everyone and will be connected to others

An unbalanced heart chakra manifests things as:

  • Hatred
  • Fear
  • Jealousy
  • Anger

Just to name a few

To balance this chakra, meditate and visualize on the color green. Eat green colored foods such as broccoli. Do yoga poses that focus on the Heart Chakra. Use essential oils, or meditate with green stones(can also use rose quarts). Any of this will help

Okay, this is where the topic of Christ can begin. In paintings of Jesus you may see he has a flaming heart, and a finger pointing up ,which is an esoteric symbol of a gateway to the higher chakras and also signifying there’s more work to do in regards to expanding your consciousness

As I’ve said in my other post on chakras, each, and, any of these chakras hold onto trauma’s that happen to you no matter what it is. When that happens a person becomes imbalanced, and, it will show

However, not a lot of people know that not releasing yourself from this trauma puts a block upon you, not only physically and emotionally, but spiritually as well

Its imperative that everyone, including myself, put time and effort into our healing to live a better balanced life. And to heal wholly(holy), all starts with loving yourself, regardless of the “flaws” you believe you have and releasing the situation that caused you trauma

Easier said than done of course

Its an ever going process, but the goal is to release yourself from that trauma so it doesn’t manifest itself permanently. It may be days where you randomly remember an incident, and you may either start crying or be very angry

It comes out in order for you to recognize it and release it. This is one of the moments where “face your demons” comes into effect

Love yourself for who you are and recognize that you’re human. That goes for anyone who has caused you harm as well. That’s not to throw out whatever heinous thing they’ve done, its to release yourself from that traumatic situation that has a hold on your being
