The Spiritual Effects of Music

Welcome! Today’s topic is going to be about how the music we listen to influences not only our conscious mind, but also our subconscious as well. As you may know, there are many genres of music with many different messages

Whatever that message is in that song or album can influence your perspective on reality if you aren’t conscious of that fact. So it’s imperative that you take into account what you listen to and put your focus upon. That is why they call it paying attention–it’s an energy exchange

There are many different creation stories that you may find in different myths and belief systems, but the most important thing to take out of all of them is that the Creator made all things you see, and everything you don’t see. Scientists have discovered that the universe makes up 5% of visible light, 25% Dark Matter, and 70% Dark Energy

While those percentages may be shocking, it brings to question what else is out there? The short answer would be higher dimensional beings, or spirits in relative terms. And as such, there are different vibrational frequencies that these beings are on, compared to the slowest and heaviest vibration called physical reality

With these different frequencies in mind you can also say there are sounds that correspond to our reality as well as these other entities. All this to say that the Universe is ultimately one big verse–or song. The ancient Sanskrit word “OM” when broken down between its ‘syllables’ (for lack of a better word), represents creation in its totality

So chanting the word “OM” brings your awareness to the present moment in this reality. There are many other words of power and frequencies you can discover on your own, but the point nonetheless is that certain sounds and frequencies can alter your mindset for your benefit or your downfall if you aren’t careful

And what I mean is the music that society listens to on a regular basis. I’ll expound more on that in the next section but; for more information about the word “OM” and its uses click here

As with anything in this universe there’s a duality, or in the Laws of the Universe, Polarity. The Law of Polarity states that everything has its pair of opposites which are identical in nature but differs in degrees. As an example, for every belief you have–know that there’s someone out there with an opposite perspective of yours

Taking the music you listen to, you may say there are good genres and bad genres but everyone has their own opinion. The quality of the music is what matters in the long run. Say for instance you listen to a song that teaches you right from wrong and portrays a life lesson that you could benefit from

That vibe you get from that song puts you in a mood for critical thinking and learning from that artists’ mistake or story they’re portraying. Say you have a few artists that you listen to which provide lessons and other stories for you to learn from and guide you in life. So, its safe to say that your music choice can play a hand in dictating your reality

Lets reverse this perspective on music that doesn’t necessarily teach anything but reinforces a type of mindset. Whether that’s to party and have fun, or to promote aggression, violence and the abuse of drugs. Nothings wrong with any of it for what it is because people should have fun and enjoy life. The problem is when that message becomes the only basis for life and the way to live

Now say that you listen to many artists on a daily basis that preach that same message, same rule applies. It plays a hand in shaping your reality if you can’t separate that from a balanced perspective. Overtime as music degrades in substance, the generations who grow up on this degradation without being able to think for themselves, become influenced by the music they listen to

So this influence can potentially lead to a lack of critical thinking and common sense in generations down the line if they’re not raised properly. This is the reason why older generations will say that the music today isn’t good, not because they have no taste in music, but because the message has been diluted

This isn’t to shame anyone’s music preference its just to provide a perspective

The Power of The Word

John verse 1 in the Bible states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

This shows that the word or words spoken carries the essence of God itself. As I mentioned above there are different vibrations and frequencies all of which can influence people if they’re not knowledgeable of the way their mind can be programmed

Same goes for those artists who speak whatever message they want to share with the world. One of the ways you can reprogram your mind is through repetition. Since words carry a certain vibration and frequency, when said over a beat which can entrance your mind with rhythm, it makes it easy to program the message

Which is why a song comes with a Hook and a Chorus. The hook should be obvious but as for the chorus it’s repeated during a song which enables listeners to remember it the most. Subconscious programming at its finest

Now if an artist is to constantly put out low vibrational songs, these words still carry energy which then attracts whatever it is they speak on, tying it to the Universal Laws of Mentalism and Vibration. If these artists aren’t knowledgeable of the power words have then they can indirectly reap what they sew

This ties into the reason you see many young artists pass away too soon. (XXX Tentacion, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke, King von, etc., just to name a few)

In Conclusion

This isn’t to tarnish the legacy and impact artists have made, its to bring to awareness the power words have in shaping people’s reality. Its always okay to have fun and enjoy yourself, just be sure that this fun doesn’t lead to negative consequences in the long run

As always thank you for reading and have a good rest of your day!
